This unique event provides an opportunity to hear new and early chamber music at atmospheric concert venues set amidst the splendid scenery of the Ostrobothnian coast. Our new Artistic Director as of 2018 will be the Swedish violinist Cecilia Zilliacus.

Powerful experiences, brilliant Finnish and international artists, a splendid setting and a continually evolving topical perspective on the diverse world of church music! Besides more traditional music events, Lohtaja Church Music Festival will provide pop-up concerts, community singing and other social occasions. This festival will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2018.
This unique series of late evening concerts complements the mediaeval stonewalled ambience of Espoo Cathedral with a versatile, high standard programme throughout the summer. Leading artists of vocal, organ, chamber and orchestral music provide memorable experiences on intimate summer evenings. The Artistic Director of Organ Night and Aria is the distinguished pianist Erkki Korhonen.
The finest mediaeval, renaissance and baroque compositions in the venerable cultural landscapes of Lake Rautavesi with leading Finnish and international early music artists. The concerts will take place in the mediaeval stone churches of Sastamala. An international master class and free admission events will complement the concert series.
The maritime ambience of Inkoo and its mediaeval church will breathe new life into familiar and less well-known works of chamber music. The highlights of this annual celebration are international guest stars, a concert for children, a concert at the Wallhalla Theatre in Barösund, and the Jazz in the Square free concert. The Artistic Director of Music by the Sea is the violinist Nonna Knuuttila.
