This uniquely international event in the far north will delight the Tornio public once again at the end of June as the cultures of Finland and Sweden come together for a programme of jazz and blues in a renovated festival park, and in more traditional church settings.
This splendid festival has been entertaining large audiences with top quality jazz since 1969. The hallmarks of this event are a contemporary atmosphere and all forms of jazz music from swing to free jazz. Concerts will take place in the indoor venues and clubs of the city centre.
This unusual celebration provides a pleasing blend of classical jazz and rocking blues. The delightful scenery of the historic Taalintehdas ironworks is a splendid setting for a musical event, and the broad concert programme will include something for family members of all ages!
