Come and enjoy leading artists performing at incomparable concert venues in a genuine rural setting. The Artistic Director of the festival is the distinguished conductor Esa Heikkilä.
Lieksa provides an incomparable venue for brass music, and the annual Brass Week brings together a large cohort of Finnish and international brass musicians. The programme will include a broad range of concerts, brass music courses, and an international trumpet competition, plus a generous assortment of fringe events, free admission concerts, outdoor musical performances and children’s events. We shall also arrange an international euphonium competition in 2018.
Our 20th anniversary celebration will bring memorable experiences with top Finnish and international artists in the magnificent cultural landscapes of Southwest Finland. The programme will range from familiar classics to the very latest chamber music performed in intimate manor houses and churches.
