The maritime ambience of Inkoo and its mediaeval church will breathe new life into familiar and less well-known works of chamber music. The highlights of this annual celebration are international guest stars, a concert for children, a concert at the Wallhalla Theatre in Barösund, and the Jazz in the Square free concert.

The programmed events of this warm celebration tastefully combine a wide range of musical experiences in various genres that draw strength from unique concert venues in the rural milieu of Harjavalta and Kokemäki. Pride of place goes to chamber and wind instrument music, complemented by high standard light music and children’s concerts.
Finland’s most cosmopolitan festival of period instruments will bring gems of early music, celebrated orchestras, highly distinguished musicians and unique concert experiences to the mediaeval church and modern chapel of St. Lawrence in Vantaa.
Splendid musicianship is the hallmark of this unique festival, with international artists performing in a wide range of concerts. Professional musicians, students and hobbyists are all welcome to enrol on our courses, and the opportunity to follow the preliminary and final rounds of an international soloist competition should not be missed. Lieksa is a small town in North Karelia close to the Eastern border of the European Union, with enchanting natural landscapes and a wealth of leisure time opportunities accompanying the festival. This is the largest art music event of any kind in the region, and also the largest brass music festival in the Nordic countries.
