Our 2021 festival will be crowned with a performance of Beethoven’s Fidelio Opera at Espoo Cultural Centre in August.
The most beautiful melodies of the mediaeval, renaissance and baroque periods interpreted by leading musicians amidst the age-old cultural landscapes of Rautavesi! The mediaeval stone churches and leading cultural sites of Sastamala serve as charming concert venues. Our thematic five-year programme for 2018 – 2023 transports audiences to a series of cities served by waterways that have linked them to the wider world and turned them into flourishing centres of culture. The theme of our silver jubilee festival will be Enchanting Bruges, celebrating the musical accomplishments of this famous Flemish city.
Fine music and splendid natural surroundings combine to provide an unforgettable experience in Enontekiö and the North Calotte region. With concerts held in wilderness huts or churches, these performances are always truly intimate occasions for the audience. The events of this northernmost celebration of sacred and classical music in the European Union are mainly arranged during Easter week, but we also enrich the cultural life of the region with concerts at other times of year.
