Providing organ music experiences since 1973, this annual specialised event provides numerous opportunities to hear Finnish and international organists, orchestras and choirs. The organ serves as an instrument of several musical genres over the festival week, which also incorporates films, opera, dance and various experimental art forms into the organ music programme.
Intimate manor houses and churches provide a unique ambience for the concerts of this delightful summer celebration. The versatile programme will include gems of chamber music, special events for children, and rock concerts arranged in local industrial halls. The festival will also host the Finnish national championships in operatic karaoke singing.
The programmed events of this warm celebration tastefully combine a wide range of musical experiences in various genres that draw strength from unique concert venues in the rural milieu of Harjavalta and Kokemäki. Pride of place goes to chamber and wind instrument music, complemented by high standard light music and children’s concerts.
