Nurmes Summer Concerts provide a refreshing review of art experiences delivered by great artists in concert halls, churches and even in a steam train, in the forest, or in the intimate ambience of a late evening concert. Nurmes Summer Academy presents the performances of rising young talents to accompany the concert series. Audiences may follow teaching and lecture events, and you may even attend a private master class of your own! Pianists Tuija Hakkila and Anna Laakso are responsible for plotting the artistic direction of this event.
