The main programme of Oulainen Music Week is a classical music concert series, which is supplemented by supporting events with leading names in jazz, folk, children’s music and entertainment.
This splendid festival focuses on song music performed at local venues, together with courses for singers and musicians, and the Kangasniemi singing competition. The Artistic Director of the festival is the distinguished conductor Mikko Franck.

This is the largest art music event of any kind in the region, and also the largest brass music festival in the Nordic countries.
