Sata-Häme Soi is a colourful music festival that celebrates that most beloved of instruments in Finland, the accordion. This festival attracts both world-class professional artists and capable hobbyists with a programme that includes a wide spectrum of concerts from pop to classical and special events for children.
The cultures of the world will come together in Kaisaniemi Park and the Central Railway Station Square on the last weekend in May for a major free event offering a wealth of art and action for the whole family. The programme will include dozens of performances from various parts of the world, frank discussions, films and documentaries. There will also be opportunities to encounter a wide range of exhibitors, civic organisations and exotic culinary experiences.
Lux Helsinki is an annual five-day festival of light art that spreads across downtown Helsinki in early January, along routes that vary from year to year. The displays are open to everyone free of charge. The artworks of Lux Helsinki vary widely in shape and mode of presentation. For example, they may involve building illuminations in changing colours, video projections and music, kinetic light artworks and installations. These works are created by leading Finnish and international light artists. Lux Helsinki has been organised since 2009.

Artistic Director Jaakko Kuusisto has prepared a programme of premiere performances, major productions, chamber concerts and club events, together with master classes in classical and rhythm music.
