Finland’s largest arts festival will once again provide a diverse programme of events throughout the city, with experiences ranging from classical to world music and pop, from drama to contemporary dance, and from visual art to film and children’s events. We invite and encourage you to lose yourself in the Night of the Arts or get carried away with our fringe programme. This is a festival that brings the arts to everyone!
This multi-genre urban festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary by bringing a wide range of Finnish and international artists to the Oulu region. Artistic Director Jaakko Kuusisto has prepared a programme of premiere performances, major productions, chamber concerts and club events, together with master classes in classical and rhythm music.
We shall celebrate the 400th anniversary of the City of Kokkola with a programme of Finnish musical treasures, premiere performances, dance, community singing and outdoor events, and musical ambassadors from Finland and the wider world. This festival really brings out the versatility of the accordion, with folk, classical, modern and light music, and a special programme of guided tours, children’s music, lunchtime concerts, melodies for senior citizens and the Guardia Nueva tango orchestra.
