The 20th festival will feature a special jubilee exhibition and publication, and our International Accordion Congress. Programme highlights will include Wu Wei (Germany/China), Pascal Contet (France) and Johanna Juhola (Finland) – with the Guardia Nueva tango orchestra naturally enjoying pride of place. This festival really brings out the extraordinary versatility of the accordion as a musical instrument in a classical, modern and light music context. The programme will also include dance, community singing and outdoor events.
This annual celebration encompasses several events, with theatre, high-class art exhibitions, design, gift items, open-air dances, musical events, and even a circus! So why not mix business and pleasure at Orivesi this summer?
Sata-Häme Soi is a colourful music festival that celebrates that most beloved of instruments in Finland, the accordion. This festival attracts both world class professional artists and capable hobbyists with a programme that includes a wide spectrum of concerts from pop to classical and special events for children.
Finland’s largest arts festival will once again provide a diverse programme of events throughout the city, with experiences ranging from classical to world music and pop, from drama to contemporary dance, and from visual art to film and children’s events. We invite and encourage you to lose yourself in the Night of the Arts or get carried away with our fringe programme. This is a festival that brings the arts to everyone!
